Songbird
What we should remember...
What's this all about then?
Named after Fleetwood Mac's 'Songbird' which first appeared on their 1977 album Rumours

As a human who was born in the early 2000's, I can appreciate that everyone possesses different music preferences. However, in the current age of electric nonsense (as I would describe it), I believe it is essential to remember those who played an iconic part of musical history.

Tell me, what's the first song that you ever remember listening to?

Was it a bit of the Spice Girls? Maybe Elvis? Or maybe even the third song on that Pop Party 5 CD you made your parents listen to during every single car journey?

There are so many elements that can effect your answer. Think about it, every single year the music industry develops rapidly through new technology, new artists, new trends or even new instruments! The history of music is deeply rich and exciting.

I want to use this space to share what I can remember from a young age and the artists I currently admire. I count myself lucky as my parents have fairly decent music tastes (despite my mothers obsession with II Divo) and kindly shared their favourites with me. After 'borrowing' many of my fathers CD's and records I have managed to conjure up my own vast music taste which I have grown to be very proud of. Throughout my blog posts, I plan to share with you what artists I believe we should remember...
